I think I am a good listener when I want to be. If someone asks me to listen to their thoughts or feelings, I will sit there and let them talk however long they want to. Then will give them feedback with a situation or a speech to improve. Certain situations that Im very good at is when people are talking about their feelings and need someone to listen to them. I never judge no matter how much they're in the wrong and I will give them tips on how to help that I think will work. When it comes to speeches I think I do worse at it since I'm not good at saying speech. I feel like I can give them tips because I never take my own advice. I think my listening skills have improved my friendships because people usually come to me when they want to talk about there problems.

I think my speech was fine but could use improvements but it wasn't all bad. I think the amount of time I took was well. When preparing I would ask my dad if I was missing steps and that my facts were correct. I would ask him tips just to refresh my memory. I think the prop I had was good because it was a demonstration of a mandatory thing to have when changing the oil. With the speech itself I think my pace was good and how loud I was. Now the things I can work on for the next speech is if I do it outside again to make sure to do it on a warm day so I'm not shivering during the speech. During the speech I would forget lines so I think next time to read over it before I go to bed to remember it better. I think I was a little more nervous this time just because it was a longer speech. For my next speech I am going to practice the speech a lot more because I am going to be learning about a completely new topic so I am more likely to mess up my words.

I would say people describe me as a passionate energtic person. I feel like what we learned this week with the ted talk is kinda me. I feel like sometimes I can get so passionate to the point that I'll attack others opinions if they don't align with mine. Another thing people with describe me as kind and kinda traditional. When I was growing up my dad always showed me that a girl never pays for a meal if they're eating with you. An example of this, if I go to say McDonald's with a friend that a girl, I'll pay for her food because my dad taught me that a man never lets a girl pay. This falls under we learned about how we are taught things and shown things at a young age that show roles where boy should play and do thing and girl should play and do different thing just because gender. The next thing they would say is Im a confident person. Not cocky just confident because I always think I can do something even if is near impossible. The reason I think like that beca...

The speech I chose is Kevin Durant 2014 MVP speech. Kevin Durant better known as KD is a basketball player who play for the Oklahoma City Thunder at the time of being awarded this MVP trophy. The speech is know for how emotional it was because of his rough up brings. He didn't think when he was a kid that this was even possible. When he was a kid his dream job was to become a a high school basketball teacher. The rhetorical purpose of the speech was to inspire you that nothing is too big in this world and to always dream big and work hard. The reason the speech is so strong is because he talks for his own up brings and uses real life things that happened to his to put you in his shoes. The ending of the speech is makes it so notiable because he puts all the thanks to his mother. He says that she is the real MVP and not him because everything she did for him. If they all didn't have enough to eat, she would skip the meal to make sure they ate. She always pushed him to work hard...

Although I cannot witness how she delivered the speech. I can see how it could sound when giving the speech out. They start the speech off well with asking a multitude of questions about the flower with directly saying it in her questions. She got my attention when reading it because it got me to wonder where they were leading it. I then liked how she used our childhood memories to completely bring our attention in. She goes on to explain how most people hate the plant but says how it actually has a big benefit to us. She uses signposts in the beginning " Today, I will explain these uses to you. We’ll start by looking at the dandelion’s medicinal value". She organized  the speech how we discussed and made her point clear. She uses logic when discussing how the f lower has benefit in the medical field.
